al-Badan, our physical body, is created from the earth and will one day return to it.

● External and Internal Senses

Hearing, Sight, Smell, Taste, Touch gather information.

Common Sense, Imagination, Reflection, Recollection, Retentive Memory process and cultivate what we experience.

● Intellect and Volition

al-`Aql and al-Iradah allow us to think, reason, and make conscious choices.

● The Heart

al-Qalb is the center of true awareness, spiritual life, and sound intention.
